Supercells (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the online store at supercells.co.za, selling new and refurbished smartphones, laptops, and accessories, with delivery across South Africa.

2. What personal information we collect
When you browse, register an account, or place an order, we may collect:
- Name, email address, phone number
- Delivery and billing address
- Order history and products purchased
- Payment-related information processed through our payment provider (see Section 4 — we do not store your full card details ourselves)
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type, and device information, collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools
- Communications you send us (WhatsApp, email, contact form, live chat)
3. Why we collect it

- Communicate with you about your order, delivery, warranty, or support queries

4. Who we share it with
We share personal information with the following categories of third parties, only as needed to run the store:
- Payment processing: PayFast (card and instant EFT payments) — Supercells does not see or store your full card number
- Delivery: The Courier Guy — to deliver your order
- Website and marketing tools: Google (Ads, Analytics, Merchant Center, Search Console), Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and our email marketing platform, for analytics, advertising, and communications — these providers may process data outside South Africa; where they do, they operate under their own published data protection commitments (e.g. Google’s and Meta’s standard contractual safeguards)
- Hosting and technical infrastructure: our web hosting provider and site security/performance tools (LiteSpeed, Jetpack)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. How long we keep it
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, including the periods required by South African tax and consumer protection law (generally at least 5 years for financial records). Account information is retained while your account remains active; you may request deletion at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, and disclosure, including secure (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to customer data.
7. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations
- Object to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your information has been mishandled: inforegulator.org.za
